From the factory, the ECU only turns the intercooler fan on under heavy load, then lets it run for a short period after you lift. That means as you’re sitting in line or rolling around off-boost, your intercooler is just getting hotter and hotter.

This kit gives you manual control of the intercooler fan at the flip of a switch, so you can pre-cool the intercooler before you hammer the throttle. How It Works

From the factory, the X3’s intercooler fan only kicks on at higher load and then only runs briefly after you lift. So if you’re:
